What is a crypto wallet?
A wallet stores the private keys that control your coins. "Non-custodial" wallets like MetaMask or Trust Wallet mean only you hold those keys — not an exchange or a platform.
Why networks matter
The same token (e.g. USDT) can exist on several blockchains — TRON, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana. Sender and receiver must use the same network or funds can be lost.
What are network (gas) fees?
Every blockchain charges a small fee paid to validators who process transactions. It varies by network and congestion — from fractions of a cent on Solana to a few dollars on Ethereum.
What is a confirmation?
A confirmation means your transaction has been included in a block. More confirmations = more finality. BitBay tells you when a payment is safely final for each network.
No. You connect your existing crypto wallet and transact directly. There is no sign-up, password or email required to send or receive payments. Merchants can optionally add an email to receive payment notifications.
Is BitBay custodial? Who holds my funds?
BitBay is fully non-custodial. Funds move wallet-to-wallet on the blockchain and we never hold your private keys or your coins. That means we can't freeze, lose or misuse your money.
Which cryptocurrencies and networks are supported?
50+ assets including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, SOL, LTC, XRP, TRX, POL, DOGE, ADA, TON and DAI across networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
How much does it cost?
Receiving is free. Sending costs 0.5% and merchant payments cost 0.8%, plus the blockchain network fee. Enterprise customers get volume-based rates from 0.2%. There are no setup or monthly fees.
How long do transactions take?
It depends on the network: Solana and TRON typically confirm in 1–5 seconds, BNB Chain and Polygon in a few seconds, Ethereum in about 15 seconds to a minute, and Bitcoin in roughly 10–30 minutes for full confirmation.
What happens if I send to the wrong address or network?
Blockchain transactions are irreversible, so BitBay validates address formats and warns you about network mismatches before you sign. If something does go wrong, contact our 24/7 support immediately — in many cases (e.g. same address on an EVM-compatible chain) funds can be recovered.
What does the 100% uptime guarantee mean?

Is connecting my wallet safe?
